Invesco bought Safeway center in Kapahulu.  Safeway would lease back their space.  Would the cetera be kept as Safeway Center?  What will be next for the brand new Beratania Safeway store?

No wonder my plants no grow too good. It’s not me. it’s the worn-out soil in Kapahulu! Now I have better good excuse for killing all those plants from before. Ka-Pahulu is cursed with bad soil. Ka means “da”, Pahulu means “worn-out soil” -due to over farming, may be. The Hawaiian must have moved on from the area to grow stuff in Waikiki instead; or may be just go give warning to the kekei farmers by naming the place “worn soil”. So, next time I go City Mill for some top soil before I go give the garden another try. Good luck planting in Kapahulu. Oh, the coral boulders (huge kine) are another reason my plants died. Talk story later, okay.

Here’s an opportunity for citizens to give input on how our community is run. Neighborhood Board Meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 7pm at the Ala Wai Golf Clubhouse (behind the Waikiki Library at the bottom of Kapahulu and Ala Wai Blvd). The meetings are on the end of the second floor. Anyone may attend.
A Kapahulu area representative is needed to attend once a month and vote their conscious on community issues. Some one without a conflict of interest would be a good choice. Please come to the meeting to volunteer.
