This is another restaurant with a chef-owner in Japan, who traveled to Thailand and became enamored by its cuisine, spending years there in study. Through Thai Herb Kitchen he wanted to share the dishes of Isaan in northeastern Thailand, noted for its combination of spicy, sour and bitter flavors. “

“Ah finally they get their own post. Love this place, no BS just good stuff and fast service. Since it’s easy for me to get there from work I have become a regular customer. I just ate there last night. I totally agree on the mixing the chicken and chorizo, especially in a burrito. He will also put all of the day’s meats in one burrito as a “mixta” as well. Don’t forget the al pastor (spicy pork) special on Saturdays as well. VIVA ZARATEZ!” 808Marv at Nonstophonolulu

“Try the Al Pastor, spicy pork, only on Saturdays though. Yum!” nkvball at Nonstophonolulu

It was awesome. We didn’t eat anything fancy. We just ate the kalua pork and–what do you call the coconut cake? Haupia. The stuff is unbelievable. We ate at Leonard’s yesterday, too. That was so good, unbelievably good. They had a plum powdered sugar–li hing mui–and dusted the outside [of the malasada] with the sugar. I’d say probably Leonard’s was my favorite. So good.” Honolulu Weekly
