Side Street Inn is coming soon, real soon.

Looks like Side Street Inn is coming pretty soon.  Signs are posted by the sidewalks and on the window. It was said to open on Fall, 2009, but Summer, 2010 is fine too. What is the delay? I can’t wait. Pork Chop, anyone? http://sidestreetinn.com/locations/side-street-inn-on-da-strip

Campbell Avenue

The best dynamic view of Diamond Head is on Campbell Avenue. Movie directors, game developers should seriously consider a scene with a drive down Campbell. Campbell Avenue lined with thirty-some businesses and that’s so enough for a single guy to be very happy. Beer, pizza, home movie and auto detailing. Done. It’s also enough for [...]

Leonard’s Bakery

Best malasada in Hawaii. Malasada, a Portuguese desert – golden brown deep fried dough with sugar sprinkle. Japanese tourists would walk here all the way from Waikiki to just have a few of these tasty treat. Oh, people like to take pictures under the rare flashing neon sign. Now that the words are out, Japanese [...]

Rainbow Drive Inn

One of Hawaii’s best Plate lunch place. Locals and tourists alike crowded this place during lunch and dinner hours. The usual patrons come here hungry, between work or after their swim and surf at Diamond Head or Waikiki. Service is quick. Foods are great and serve on paper plates and boxes. I love the Hamburger [...]

Jack In the Box

Oh, Jack in the Box – the best chain burger joint by far. I love meal #7, DBC&CB (Double Bacon & Cheese Ciabatta Burger) This burger put McDonald’s double cheese burger to shame. Twice the weight, twice the height. The hamburger has texture of real hamburger. The bacons are real crispy. The ciabatta bread are toasty [...]
